In January 2013 TM started helping Syrian refugees living in camps in the Bekka area. The work started with very small distributions with donated items. However, very soon we developed a basic relief program with the Greek Catholic Archbishop in Zahle, and then launched an educational program in one of the informal camps in central Bekka. 3 years later, we have grown to 4 educational centers across the central Bekka area catering to 400 children.

In March 2014 TM partnered with Dorcas Aid International to start a new comer program and after consulting with UNHCR, we launched the program in the Mount Lebanon area to fill the gap existing in the area as very few other NGOs were working in the area.

At the end of 2015, after the army evicted several camps that were close to the military base, many refugees found themselves literally on the street with no shelter and nowhere to go. TM took the initiative of renting a land to create a safe zone where families can live with no fear of exploitation. Mercy camp includes an education center and many children from neighbouring camps are also benefiting from our center.

In 2016, TM started a new community center in Dekwaneh to cater to refugees in the Beirut area. Educational programs for Syrian and Iraqi children as well as English classes for adults and vocational trainings are being implemented in the center. TM is also doing awareness  programs for whole communities.
